The V Post Standoff is commonly fitted to a standoff or height adjustor body to allow either of it’s functions to be used at varying heights. The V Post Standoff is designed for use as an Vee Block. Two V post standoff bodies should be used together to support workpieces. The workpiece is held in position in the vee using any of the fixture clamping components. The v post standoff acts as a fixed point against which a workpiece can be located against.
The V post Standoff comprises of two components; the ‘body’ and the ‘nut’ the main bodies Male thread is screwed into the baseplate female thread. The position setting is determined by the workpiece structure at which the Male thread is screwed into the mating part. The nut is then used to lock the body in position by tightening it up against the mating component. Only Minimal force is needed when tightening, over tightening can damage the thread.
In order to fully appreciate the way in which this component is used we recommend that you view the ‘typical applications page’ in the product catalogue, manual or on our website at http://www.leecosfixture.com
Hard Anodized aluminium is extremely durable, as the anodizing process helps to harden and coat the metal. This process helps to create a tarnish-resistant surface that can remain like new for years, but over time, even hard anodized aluminium will begin to naturally scratch and fade. You can offset these effects with regular cleaning, which helps to brighten the surface and maintain its natural sheen.
For general cleaning, a mild soap and water solution can be used applied with a cloth or sponge. For removal of grease or oily deposits methylated spirits can be applied with a cloth or sponge. In both cases the part should be finally rinsed in cold water and thoroughly dried.
