The LEE-15 – Tension Post acts as the location for the LEE-11 CT Clamp.
The LEE-29 – Extension Post can be fitted into the Tension Post to increase the overall height of the post.
The Tension Post can also accept interchangeable tips LEE-27 & LEE-28 which then allows the Tension Post to be used as a location post for lighter weight parts. The thin diameter of the Tension Post allows very good access to the work piece.
The Tension Post has a male thread which is screwed directly into any of the female threads in the baseplate, adjustable or locating components. The Tension Post should be screwed into the female thread by hand and then locked in position. Only Minimal force is needed to lock the tension post in position.
To use the Tension Post as a location post, the interchangeable LEE-27 Conical Point or LEE-28 Ball Tip can be screwed into the M3 female thread in the end of the post and locked in position using the M3 thin nut. The height of the tips relative to the end of the tension post is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the depth that the tip thread is screwed into the end of the post.
In order to fully appreciate the way in which this component is used we recommend that you view the ‘typical applications page’ in the product catalogue, manual or on our website at http://www.leecosfixture.com
Stainless steel is extremely durable, however cleaning maybe required due to contamination from oils or general handling.
For general cleaning stainless steel should be cleaned with soap or a mild detergent and warm water. For removal of grease or oily deposits methylated spirits can be applied with a cloth or sponge. In both cases the part should be finally rinsed in cold water and thoroughly dried.
