The standoff provides the foundation for the majority of fixtures; they are interchangeable and can be screwed together in any combination to create different standoff lengths. The assembled standoff is screwed into the base plate or adjustable components to raise the work piece away from the baseplate therefore maximising access to all surfaces. Any of the locating, clamping or adjusting components can be screwed into the standoff female threaded end, allowing them to carry out their functions at the required height.
The standoff should be screwed together by hand. When screwing the standoff directly into the baseplate or another component the same method should be used.
Only Minimal force is needed when tightening, over tightening can damage the components thread.
In order to fully appreciate the way in which this component is used we recommend that you view the ‘typical applications page’ in the product catalogue, manual or on our website at http://www.leecosfixture.com
Hard Anodized aluminium is extremely durable, as the anodizing process helps to harden and coat the metal. This process helps to create a tarnish-resistant surface that can remain like new for years, but over time, even hard anodized aluminium will begin to naturally scratch and fade. You can offset these effects with regular cleaning, which helps to brighten the surface and maintain its natural sheen.
For general cleaning, a mild soap and water solution can be used applied with a cloth or sponge. For removal of grease or oily deposits methylated spirits can be applied with a cloth or sponge. In both cases the part should be finally rinsed in cold water and thoroughly dried.
